11 Best Beauty Products I’ve Tried in 2025

It’s time to make a recap and talk about the beauty products that surprised me the most in 2025.

Let’s start with a disclaimer: even though some of these products aren’t new on the market, they were new in my beauty routine.

Yes, I tried many other products. And yes, I kept using (and still use) some of my favorites from previous years. But these were the new additions that really made a strong impact.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Skincare

Fenty Skin Plush Puddin’

My lips are a bit picky when it comes to lip mask formulas.

After trying the most well-known lip masks on the market, I decided to give Fenty Skin’s Plush Puddin’ a try and… it was the best one I tried so far.

Its texture is thick, but it’s easy to apply all over the lips. And it doesn’t feel heavy or uncomfortable.

I really enjoy the package. Especially because I don’t have to dip my finger in the container to retrieve the product.

While it’s not exactly cheap, a little goes a long way, and I’ve been using it for months.

The best? Reliable and comfortable formula.

The worst? Not being able to see how much product I have left.

The Inkey List Exosome Hydro-Glow Complex

I do struggle a lot with dull skin. So I am constantly looking for new products that might help me have a healthier skin tone without breaking the bank.

I am also nearly 40, so I am starting to notice some changes on my face. I have sensitive combination skin, so I am always skeptical about trying new products that promise a glowy or firmer complexion, as I often find them too dense.

With The Inkey List’s Exosome Hydro-Glow Complex, I noticed my skin tone was more even after just a few days of use. My skin also looked more lifted and firmer.

The texture is lighter than I initially expected, and it absorbs quickly. It goes well with the rest of my skincare routine and my go-to makeup products. Which is a plus!

The best part? The formula is quite good, and its price is really affordable.

The worst part? The package feels a bit cheap.

Byoma Hydrating Milky Toner

I got this product as part of Sephora’s Advent Calendar last year.

I’ve had good experiences with Byoma’s products, but since this one says “Hydrating” and “Milky,” I was afraid it wouldn’t be a good fit for my combination skin.

Well, I was wrong. It is slightly denser than a standard toner, which is great because I can easily apply it without needing a cotton round.

The formula feels really gentle and nourishing on the skin, especially on cold days. I have really sensitive skin, so I found this formula really comforting.

I used Kiehl’s Calendula Toner for nearly a decade because it was so soothing. I still love it, but given the price rise in the past couple of years and how good Byoma’s Hydrating Milky Toner worked for me, I don’t see myself splurging on the Kiehl’s one anytime soon.

The best part? Lightweight nourishing formula, how soothing it is, the price, and how long a single bottle lasts.

The worst part? It isn’t a problem for me, but if I had to mention something less positive, it’s that the package doesn’t let you see how much product is left.

Tower 28 SOS Kit

I was a bit skeptical when I purchased Tower 28’s SOS Kit. I knew that I really wanted to try the spray, given the positive reviews I saw online. But I had no idea if it would be a good fit for me, let alone the remaining products.

I have really sensitive combination skin, which doesn’t always respond well to new skincare products.

Luckily for me (and my skin, as well as my bank account), it all went well this time.

I loved Tower 28’s SOS Rescue Spray. It really did wonders for my skin and helped me tackle some blemishes that I’ve been struggling with for a couple of weeks. It has a pleasant mist and scent, without having perfume in its composition.

Tower 28’s SOS Gel Cleanser is incredibly mild and soothing. Leaving the skin clean, but without depriving it of hydration.

When it comes to Tower 28’s Recovery Cream, I genuinely thought it wouldn’t be for me, given its thicker texture. But I was completely wrong, and it became an instant holy grail in my night routine.

What I liked the most about this set is that, even though we are dealing with travel-sized products, each one comes with enough for a few weeks’ use. It is essential to have a clear picture of whether these are suitable for my skin.

I loved these so much that I’ve already purchased the spray and the moisturizer in full-size, to help me get through the winter season. And I might purchase the full-size cleanser later on this year.

The best part? How well these formulas agree with my sensitive skin.

The worst part? I have to get these shipped from the US, as Tower 28 isn’t available in Spain.

Erborian Eye Cream

In the last quarter of 2025, I was on the market looking for a new eye cream.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love Kiehl’s Super Multi-corrective Eye Zone Treatment, but it was getting a little out of my budget. So, I needed an alternative that was both hydrating and affordable.

During the past couple of years, I’ve been noticing that my under-eye area requires a little extra hydration than it used to.

As I’ve been hearing positive things about Erborian’s Ginseng Power line (and having had a positive experience with the brand in the past), I decided to give Erborian’s Ginseng Power Eye a go.

Yes, it’s still expensive (33,35€). And yes, it’s not as dense and nourishing as the Kiehl’s one - but it gets the job done.

I find it quite hydrating for such a light formula. The under-eye area feels comfortable throughout the hours, and it doesn’t mess up my makeup.

Another thing that I love about this product is its glass jar package, which makes it even more sustainable than my previous eye cream.

The best part? How well it hydrates the under-eye area without making it feel heavy, causing milia, or ruining makeup.

The worst part? Its shelf life is only 3 months after opening.

Makeup

Catrice Metallic Spark Cream Eyeshadow

This might have been my biggest surprise of the year.

I’ve already talked wonders about Catrice’s Metallic Spark Cream Eyeshadow, so I’ll keep it short this time.

It’s definitely a no-brainer and a nice staple to have in a makeup kit.

But given its 6-month PAO, I plan to purchase a new jar anytime soon. As I keep using it on all sorts of occasions, given how elegant it looks and how easy it is to apply.

The best part? Application and price.

The worst part? Only 6 months after opening.

Fenty Beauty Grip Trip Primer

I wasn’t a fan or a regular user of face primers until I tried Fenty Beauty’s Grip Trip.

Despite properly prepping my skin before makeup and setting it with a reliable spray, I’ve noticed that my makeup starts looking a bit beaten up around lunchtime on office days.

The heat, the long hours, and my combination skin were definitely not a good combo.

I was immediately interested when this product launched on Sephora Spain and decided to give it a try.

And I am super glad that I did. It does exactly what I was looking for: a product that helps me prolong my makeup on hot days, that doesn’t feel heavy or crumble over the hours.

A little goes a long way. I usually use a single pump for the whole face. It’s quite easy to apply, and it doesn’t feel heavy, sticky, or uncomfortable on the pores, which were problems I had with other grippy primers.

So, if you’ve struggled with the E.L.F.’s or Milk Makeups’ grippy primers (like I did), this might be a good fit for you.

The best part? How easy it is to apply and the positive impact it has on my makeup throughout the day.

The worst part? The price (39,00€).

Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow Palette

I am a huge fan of eyeshadow palettes. I love the new textures and formulas, the color combination, and the package that these come in. For me, it’s a whole sensory experience and different levels.

However, the bigger the eyeshadow palette… the less likely I am to use it. I can’t tell how many expired eyeshadow palettes I have in my makeup drawer.

That’s why the Hourglass Curator Eyeshadow Palettes immediately caught my eye when I saw someone posting about these online.

They’re small and compact, with neutral shades in different finishes. Which is the perfect combo to me.

I know, these are pretty expensive for a quad (77,05€). So, I’ve combined accumulated credit with a Cult Beauty discount to get it at a lower price.

Do I regret this purchase? Absolutely not! The shades are beautiful, and the formulas are super easy to work with.

I opted for the Idealist, which is 100% within my comfort zone and the perfect combo for everyday looks.

Despite enjoying how compact and lightweight the package is, the tin feels cheap. Especially when you look at the price tag.

However, I find the mirror inside to be quite convenient. Making this the perfect eyeshadow palette for quick touch-ups on the go or when going on a getaway.

The best part? Its blendability, the color story, and its convenient format.

The worst part? The price!

Hourglass Blush

If I could keep only one liquid blush, it would have to be Hourglass Unreal Liquid Blush.

I love that it has a natural, watercolor-like effect that blends easily without looking patchy, and, last but not least, that a little goes a long way.

The package has a drop mechanism that has evolved since the product was released, making it easier for the formula to come out of the package.

Out of all the liquid blushes I reviewed over the last couple of years, this is my ride-or-die.

Why? Because of how natural it looks, it immediately elevates any makeup. Whether it’s a basic makeup or one for a special event.

The best part? The formula.

The worst part? The package and the price.

Saie Setting Powder

Saie is one of the brands that I’ve been gradually discovering during the past couple of years. So, when this setting powder came out, I knew I wanted to give it a try.

Saie’s Slip Tint Undetectable Baked Setting Powder has the type of formula that I usually tend to run away from. I avoid baked products at all costs, especially blushes and highlights, as these tend to accentuate my skin texture.

However, for some reason, this powder does wonders for me. Not only does it not accentuate imperfections, but it also leaves a natural glow from within while setting my makeup.

Which is quite surprising, given that I’ve watched a few creators online complain about how it made texture and pores more noticeable.

The powder is extremely fine and is available in 5 shades (which I hope they expand at some point).

The best part? The finish.

The worst part? Sometimes it looks a bit cakey if I go a little heavy on the application.

Fragrance

Victoria Beckham Beauty Portofino 97

I fell hard for Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Portofino ‘97 moment I tried one of those tiny samples.

I remember trying to make the tiny spray last as long as possible, but it ran out pretty quickly.

How can I describe this perfume? It has a fresh, impactful scent that lasts long without being overpowering.

As it’s a very expensive fragrance (290€ for 100ml), I am glad Victoria Beckham Beauty launched a travel-sized version. I’ve been using it on special occasions for a few months now.

What I love the most about it? Besides the scent, I love how long it lasts on my skin even after taking a shower.

I love it so much that it immediately outgrew my former Jo Malone signature scent.

What’s the biggest con about it? Well, it has to be its price (the most I ever paid for a fragrance) and the fact that it is only available online (at least in Spain).

The best part? The scent.

The worst part? The price and the opaque package.
